I also love my 681, but not a 618, very similar! 681 handles just fine. JUst have to take it easy with big waves. MY wife usually ask's me if we are going to get back safe with the big blows...I tell her yes, as long as we take it slow.

I'm sure the 619 would do the job better, but would rather fish out a 681 !
