Ok, this is more for salmon fishing than muskies, but I suppose it could work for that too: looking to buy/build a light pole in the 7-9' range that can be mounted in the front seat base with a big ole LED or halogen light on the top. Have that light pointed down and towards the back of the boat to illuminate the whole back of the boat so I can tie knots/set lines/dare I say net fish. Can power the thing either by running a cord to the rod locker/battery box or it could be self-powered (ie. internal batteries).

Any ideas, thoughts, you have done something similar?
