You should think about adding a trolling plate to your motor. I used to run a 17 foot lund with a 115 and got it to go very slow with the plate. For the very slow speeds I ran the terrova. I started out with a 9.9 kicker, but I hardly ever used it, so I sold it. The kicker also added alot of weight and caused the boat to lean causing a few problems for loading too.
