I leave my post in but turn the seat around so it is a point of reference more than a place to sit. I do the same thing with my Terrova Foot Pedal as Tucker does. But I normally fish out of the port side over 90% of the time.
Several guys have posted in the past how they have moved the base to the top of the rod locker with an Aluminum plate underneath for support. Some even ordered the boat that way so it is fairly common. I have thought about it but I have always managed fine the way it is.
The one nice change Tuffy could make to the there boats is remove the lip at the entrance to the rod storage so a guy could insert his rods straight in without bending them. They could then in turn shorten the cover to the rod locker, which would allow the base to be moved back.
But it is not that bad, just could be better. |
