Sounds like the water levels are low in the battery


We had that same issue a few years back with by buddies boat. Charged it up overnight, next morning the TM lasted about an hour. Cranking battery barely started the boat. When we checked the electrolyte levels you could clearly see the tops of the cells. No distilled water, so we used we used Dasani. Took several bottles to cover the cells. What do you know, the next day everything held a charge. Not sure how marine batteries hold up after that, but I know it's pretty much a death sentence for a car battery...
