There is a 4 bank charger on the boat that is hooked up 2 leads for the trolling motor batteries then one goes to the starting motor battery and the other goes to the electronics battery.


There ya go. There's your connection. Ok, that's the symptom. The disease is you've got a low battery in the set. I admit, I've got one now on my boat, but battery dealers on the island are limited and I'd have to order and wait for a new one. So when I go to start my motor, I dim my HDS 8 units so they draw less amps and they stay on. Motor starts, I brighten the screens. When I get to buy a new battery, it'll be fine.
