Location: davis,IL | Yeah, something has the two batteries connected somewhere. Whats happening is you are pulling the voltage down under 11 volts on your electronics battery when cranking. For laughs try disconnecting your electronics battery and try cranking the motor and see what happens. What all this tells me is;
1. The two batteries are electrically linked.'
2. Your cranking battery has a bad connection or is puked.
3. Keep doing this without fixing and you'll find the problem point the hard way with some burnt wiring.
Thinking about it some more your problem could also be the electronics battery. So if it cranks ok with electronics battery disconnected, try unhooking the starter battery and see if your boat electronics operate. Point is you have a bad connection or puked battery somewhere between the two.
