I am not extremely familiar with the layout of the 681. Does it have the gas tank forward? (my assumption is that it does). If that is the case, that makes the bow fairly heavy which is good for positioning in wind, but not so much for traversing in rougher conditions.

Unless that tank is fairly full there isn't that much weight up there
