I didn't know anybody used side imaging at high speeds. My SI transducer is quite a bit higher than the bottom of the boat on my 1760. It isn't totally perfect - it doesn't read out to the left as far as I can to the right but it reads far enough to be useful. I could probably play with it a little to get it better.

I do like having it mounted up a little for protection though.
