Thanks, I currently use similar techniques. I know the ranger 600 vs series boats used to have a plastic piece at the aft of the rod locker that was probably 3-4" high and hinged toward the aft. I am wondering about cutting out a section and trying to replicate this. My biggest feer is that I won't be able to keep the rod locker lid latched if I tried this.
