Had this happen too after looking in battery compartment this winter. Had it hooked up to charger. Could liquid come out the top if it got over charged? If no crack will topping with distilled water be cool?


No, if it was overcharging the H2O component of the electrolyte boils off as oxygen & hydrogen..lowering the electrolyte levels..If the liquid is electrolyte, the battery case/jar has a crack or a pin hole in it... it will just keep leaking...
