I have a 859 and 899si connected with an Ethernet cable.
You can share waypoints but they r not automatically saved on the other unit. A waypoint from the other unit has a green ring around it and only shows if both units are on. If u want it saved in both then u have to share or save using an SD card.
U can also share transducers too but you cannot see an SI/DI image on a non SI/DI unit.
