Ok....so i went and looked at a 680t and it is the perfect boat. I really really like what i saw. It will make the perfect musky boat for where i will be fishing it. I want to pull the trigger on this thing sooooo bad, but i dont have the best truck. It will be my first boat, and ive never towed anything with my truck. The lake i fish 95% of the time is only 12 miles from my house so i wont be going long distance with it. I drive a 2010 4cyl tacoma. It is rated to tow 3500lbs. By my rough calculations boat 800lbs, trailer 4-500lbs, 50 horse 200lbs= 1400-1500lbs. Add on maybe a few hundred pounds of gear and im still well below the 3500lb rating. Im sure it will tow ok on the roads, but i dont want to be a donkey at the ramp and not be able to pull the boat out of the water because my truck cant handle it...oh and its not a 4x4, 2 wheel only. I plan on getting a bigger truck, but not for a year or 2...what do you think? Any one else out there towing a similar weight rig with a small truck???
