With the spot-lock, if you can point your bow into the wind there shouldn't be much turning. By the way, I have read in multiple places that the F150 dynos out at 167 HP. Such a great motor but I do like the 4-stroke Merc too. You're not going to go wrong with either choice.


As said both are great motors. I have an Impact with the Merc 150 and I have zero complaints on power and the boat plains with no effort. You will laugh how fast it gets up on the water. When I was looking at boats the dealers (and online) said the Merc puts out 164hp so in either case your getting a little extra power.
