Location: Madison, WI | I ran a 1760 with a Merc 115 4stroke for four seasons and I would say yes it's enough but depends on how you use the boat. The top speed with one guy in perfect conditions is 40, and will run 36-38 consistently with two guys and load. My only complaint with the 115 was hole shot was not great with 3 guys or a heavy load. I tried several props but never really got great hole shot. Not terrible either, just took longer to plane out than other boats and didn't pop right up like some. If you mainly fish 1-2 guys you will be just fine with the 115, but if I were to buy that boat again I'd do a 150. Hope this helps, the 1760 is an awesome platform! |
