Location: Lake Elmo, MN		I store my rig indoors here in MN every year. It's in a non-heated garage. I run Lowrance HDS Gen 2 units, and really never take them off the boat in winter. Never once had any issues.

I think common practice suggests taking them off.....but as long as your rig is inside, temp should have little impact.
