If it's a new two-stroke motor, it'll be EFI. I don't think anyone is able to make a carbureted two-stroke that meets current emission standards nowadays, except for very small motors. I have a carbureted Merc 50 HP made in '08 which was the last or near the last year they were made for sale in the US. They still make them, I believe, but not for US sale.
