Silly question: Why would people want tackle boxes on board if they could store all their tackle below deck?
I've been doing that for three seasons now and I wouldn't go back to a tackle box on a bet.
The few times I fish out of someone else's boat and have to use one I feel like I've slipped back to the stone age.
Gear and tackle box area on the floor is a selling point to multi-specie anglers, as is the area created that is cockpit, not elevated deck. Bass boat interiors generally have just enough cockpit for passengers and the driver. I ran a bass boat for a couple years back in my Skeeter days, and really didn't like the entire boat being high deck. I like to work on the fish at boat side, and prefer to do so from the cockpit.
It looks like, in the early stages of delivery of the new models, that orders are slightly higher for the bench seating and cool tackle storage, but the dealers ordered at least one of each. |
