Although I agree Sea Foam is excellent stuff, I also run Ethanol Treatment Stabill in my Merc 90 4S with all of my gas. Without the motor will run goofy sometimes, with it my motor runs like a top consistently.

Also to answer your original question, I just change the lower unit oil and keep up with regular maintenance. My boat wont rest for very long so I see no reason to fog and do all of the extra stuff.
