Why do you prefer the 170 over the 1760? Can you tell what is the overall length on the trailer of the 170?

The 170 and the 1760 are two totally different boats. The 170 will handle the bigger waters til it gets wavey, but is more designed for the smaller lakes. The 1760 will handle most anything, anywhere that is safe for the majority of other boats. The 170 is a smaller, lighter boat with a shallower draft. The 1760 is bigger, heavier boat that is better equipped for a greater number of lake/fishing situations.
