50# isn't much. And 1 held my 2090 warrior as much as I could handle water coming over the transom and hitting me at the bow. 2 would be nice to hold the boat into the wind or to prevent it from spinning down wind. Loved it at the ramp and yes I spiked it on hook up and held me in place after releasing the fish my next 20 casts showed me 8 more fish. If I had blown a hundred yards who knows where I would have got back on track. Sold that boat am trying 2 10' blades with drift paddles to fish over 20' with more control.
