I fish from a 620, but have heard a lot of very good things on the 1860 and a friend is considering buying one as well. One comment from another friend that actually has had one for a few years. he tells me his only regret is not getting the 619 he was considering, as the 1860 for him was a bit of a compromise to please the wife. He says the boat (to HIM) is not a pure fishing boat but more of a fishing/family boat.....and has features that are not as related to fishing as he would really like. He regrets buying the 1860 over the 619 ONLY for that reason. He says he wishes he had more of a "pure" (his words not mine) fishing rig.
I think he's nuts, as he has a very nice boat.....but I know it bugs him daily.

In my mind, a boat made by Ranger will serve you well. The key is to get the layout that suits YOUR needs.
