It's all a compromise for me. Deep V = higher sides with more difficult boat control in the wind but a safer/smoother/dryer ride when the water is rough. Bass boat = lower sides with easier boat control in the wind and bigger, wider deck but it results in rougher ride



I would have to agree that fishing out of the bass style hull is more comfortable than the deeper V's.
