The transducer works fine for 2d sonar, problem is its not in clean water (or not in water at all) when on plane if you mount it above the hull where its protected. If you get it JUST RIGHT it'll read pretty well but its super finicky and takes adjustment and you will still lose a picture probably in the 40's mph.

In that boat doubt there is one, but if you have a jackplate attach it to that rather than the hull.
