I grew up with a hand-me-down 14ft Mirrocraft (1969 hull) with a 10hp Johnson Sea-Horse. Passed down from grandpa to dad, and then to me. I beat the hell out of that thing but it trained me well. I was sad to see that piece of history go.

While in college I then sold it in order to buy a 1979 Lund Guide Special 315... for only $900. It was a fixer-upper that took me 6 months to restore. I still have it and it's the best $900 I've ever spent, especially being a poor college kid at the time in 2007.... Along with that I have a 14ft Jon Boat full of custom mods equipped with a 15hp Evinrude that I acquired and fixed to like-new status in 2013. Both are old, but fish like new and I treat them like babies so annual maintenance and upkeep is very very minimal and low. Then recently I spoiled myself with a Ranger 681VS with a 115 Evinrude.

I have all 3 boats, thankfully have garage storage space for all 3, and don't see myself needing another boat for the next several years to come. I love them all.
