Location: north central wisconsin | Springfield will repair those posts to good as new as long as there isn't severe corrosion on the parts. I've both paid for repairs and have had it done under warranty, each less expensive than a new purchase. I've had 4-5 of them repaired, a couple of them more than once, over the past 20 years. The one caveat is I typically get a different post back than the one I sent in. I'm assuming they are stripping the parts and rebuilding my old one later. Decent company.
