Location: Elk River, MN		I've got a similar set up currently, Sonar/Power to the front unit and then just power to the rear unit for GPS. All you will have to do switch the unit from simulator mode to normal mode when powering it on because without sonar attached it defaults to simulation mode. You can also turn off the sonar so you don't get arbitrary depth readings.
