I have a 2013 F-150 Ecoboost and pull a 4000 pound plus tandem axle boat. I always run mid grade fuel around town, but when I am towing or on a long trip, I burn premium fuel. makes a 2-4 MPG difference. Seems like it is worth the extra 15-20 cents a gallon to me. Also my owners manual says to use premium fuel when towing.
