I have it set on correct ducer and have tried playing with every other setting as well. I can occasionally get a faint bottom reading and than its gone. I am pretty upset that this problem was not noted anyplace in the instructions and I more than likely ruined my us2 ducer. I will try to get humminbird to help correct this issue but the last time I talked to them all they were willing to do was swap me out for the 859 non-DI and at that time I hadn't figured that the Us2 was shot.. So I would be out about 100 buck there and a junk us2. Urrrggh
