Using a DI unit on a US2 can damage the built in transducer. It is not ment to handle the power need for a DI unit. For most people a standard unit works best on the bow. A standard unit uses a cone, you can see more of what is coming ahead of you. A DI unit has a very narrow beam (think a 2x4 that goes out to the sides only. You can not see that you are coming up onto structure. Also with a DI beam every time you turn it can distort the reading. A DI gives you the best picture from 2-6 MPH which most people are not doing with their trolling motor.
