The transducer---I think that's what I see waaaaay back there when I shine a flashlight toward the back in the pump access area does not seem reachable....can't reach it with my hand reaching back laying on floor of boat...not sure what to try next.....maybe install a new ducer?

Sounds like it's a through-hull transducer, right?
And you've had this boat/graph/transducer setup for years without issues?

Just clarifying some points. If your answers are both 'yes', then maybe the transducer is getting loose from the hull, like the glue is cracking or something. I don't know.


That's what I'd look at. Thru hull is epoxied, and it could be the transducer has loosened? Any air gap would degrade performance. You could let some water into the bilge to cover it on plane, and see if it improves?
