I had the 2004 FX4 with the 5.4 and never got over about 13.5. So I totally agree with you. The guys that are telling me they can get 16 or 18 with the old 5.4 don't know how to do math. Or they are going 30 MPH downhill all the time.

I ended up going with the 5.0 I'm curious to see how it does. 36 gallon gas tank! Right now it's telling me the range is like 560 miles or something like that when full. I could barely get to 350 miles with a 30 gallon tank with my old 5.4!!!
