Hours spent on the phone with the Lowrance Support Team. Hours spent re-wiring. Hours spent isolating the power to a separate battery.

I figured out that the problem was with the mapping sim card. They sent me a replacement for no charge (LakeInsight v14) and had no issues with the unit locking up, re-booting, etc. since.

I'm mad at myself for not testing this earlier. I actually stumbled upon the resolution. I forgot to put in the card the first time I had my boat out this year. So all day I was without detailed mapping - but I was also without any problems from my unit. Next trip out I put the sim card in and my old problems were back, took it out - no issues.

Just passing this on in case others have the same problem.
