The boat I'm thinking of is my pontoon boat that is used mostly for recreational purposes. I use the trolling motor when throwing lures at the lake after everyone becomes too waterlogged from swimming/tubing and needs a break.
(I Can't spend a day on the lake without throwing SOMETHING at some point...)
I have a Minn Kota V2 55 on there and obviously a 55lb motor is marginal for a pontoon boat. I'm pretty sure that starting battery gets plenty of charge while the motor is running at 5500 dragging a tube around tho.
