Must be stray magnetic monopoles, or perhaps fluctuations in the quantum foam, or maybe even zero-point energy instabilities...

Or, just possibly, flaky ICs in those units. Yeah, maybe that's it. Boring, though.

I don't suppose it's correlated with when you start your big motor or are using the trolling motor at high speed...
