Depending on how bad it is, there is a patch repair product similar to gel coat that would work without having to get into re-glassing/gel coating it. I can't remember the name of it but you can apply/smooth it on yourself and sand it back to make it flush with the existing gel coat. Call Express Composites (612) 789-8621 and tell them what you have and are trying to do, they can help you out.
