I have both a 70lb V2 and a 74lb Maxxum. The Maxxum weights a lot, but should be fine on your crestliner.

I know that the very first model year of the Maxxum they had issues with the cable mount in the head unit breaking under high stress, as mine did. But the replacement part was $12 and only $40 for the shop to fix. The years following the first model year have a much stronger cable mount that fixed the issue.

The mount plate might be a different story. The Maxxum has a far longer mount than does the V2. I have two separate mounts as I use the Maxxum as an emergency back up (requiring a change of brackets.) Someone else may know better if it's possible to use one bracket for both.
