I have a line on a cheap 7-8yr old Maxxum 80lb 52" trolling motor. I currently have a 70lb V2 and was thinking I would like to have both styles but have a few questions.
- is the Maxxum too heavy for my 16' Crestliner
- is it a mistake to buy an older Maxxum (don't know how the cable steers hold up)
- can I make my metal (mk16-02) Minn Kota quick release mount work for both the V2 and Maxxum if I modify/adapt it?
