Engine height, correct prop for how you want to use the boat, and trimming it up sufficiently. Torque can also be caused by dragging the cavitation plate a bit. usual fix is using the trim more and if the engine is dragging a bunch of lower unit when trimmed, get it up a hole and see if that helps.
