Location: MN		Should not have that problem. I run a 1600 Angler and my Evinrude 40 hr 4 stroke planes out in seconds.

Check the prop! I had an 11 1/2 X 13 (OMC recommended) , but RPM's hit 6000 WOT. We went to 11 1/4 X 14 and it runds great!
