Location: Hayward, WI		The manufacture can't void your standard warranty due to not using their product. But some of the extended or promotional warranties can be conditional and require you to show that you have used the manufacture's products. So if you buy a motor that has a standard 3 year warranty and they where offering an additional 2 years of coverage, you may have to prove you where using the correct OEM products if you have and issue in years 4 or 5.
