I'm thinking about getting a quick release mount for my new Xi5 trolling motor and wanted to see what people's thoughts were (pro's & con's)?
I've done minimal research at this point but I did come across a review in which a guy included a youtube link of him standing on the front deck when his trolling motor hits a log and the trolling motor release pops off and his trolling motor falls in the water. He says he'll never use one again.
Has anyone else have or heard of Terrova or Xi5 quick releases coming off?
