I use an aluminum/quick-release clamp/transducer mount on the back of my go-devil that i bought from cabelas.

That might be my best bet. I was going to buy a second transducer to mount on my dads boat so I could use my Lowrance on there. This will make it much better, no idea why I didn't think to look for something like this. Thanks man!
