Location: Sycamore, IL		I am using a 18" piece of track to slide my electronics mount into. It is very easy to remove the entire unit including the mount...just two thumb screws. I run a tiller so might not work so great in a console boat, IDK. I got the idea from the Backtroller boats website. It's slick! I think you can use the included mounting plate to do a similar quick release though. I'm very impressed with the quality of these mounts.
