Yes, I was skeptical when I got one last fall...BUT for the added $150-$200 you'd be crazy not to have it IMO. The accuracy is within a foot or two tops....Have you ever taken the time to check "satellites" range while out there using the internal antennas? I do and the closest I could get is within about 20' give or take. THAT IMO can be the difference of getting right back on top of fish, bait, structure or whatever you're targeting...Heres the thing though, it kinda pi$$e$ me off that they don't already come with this capability right out of the box. Especially for what we pay for some of these units.

The Point-1 also offers instantaneous response while motoring your vessel & exact boat position on the screen. That means that when you turn the wheel, the cursor arrow on your map turns with it....I found this to be awesome when trolling, especially when novices take the wheel; for instance, my wife or boys. Great tool IMO.
