They work very well. No more wasted casts because now you will know exactly how your boat is positioned when working structure ect. They can be tricky setting up because they are sensitive to magnetic and electrical interference. If you get one test the mount location with a compass first to see if there is any interference. Temporarily mount it and make sure your good.
