Yea hours on a motor mattered in the 1960ies. A well maintained new motor can be used everyday until you die if your over 40 years old. I had to laugh on the kicker post. People use the kicker to save hours on the main motor. As if trolling will hurt your main motor or reduce it`s lifetime. Motors want to run and will do so for a long time. If things go wrong it`s little stuff that has nothing to do with hours on the motor. In fact the more you use a good motor the better they run. If you take a few seasons off and leave them sit that's when the problems start.
