Location: Chicago		I have the quick release bracket with mine and I've never had any issues. Easy on/off and never any concern about it being secure. I take mine off whenever I put my cover on because of how the trolling motor is mounted... Mine also has a slot to put a padlock on so nobody can run off with your trolling motor (would be a sight to see...).
