I'm on my second 22' Pathfinder. Amazing rough water hull. Draws 11' (waaaay less on plane. personally had it on plane in <8") Very, very dry and comparable to my 620 ranger in rough water. They don't make an 18' though and flats boats (yes even the ones made by PF parent company Maverick) don't handle big water very well. Maverick used to make the ultimate flats/musky boat...the 21' Master Angler... amazing boat but very pricy even used. The Hewes Redfishers would be a great compromise. There are some great 18' shallow draft bay boats out there though. Scout and Sea Hunt are good options and reasonably priced with plenty on the used market. I would guess they draft substantially more than the Esox Mag and aren't designed with muskies in mind!
