The max hp on the boat is 150 so I would go with that. I was always taught to go with the most hp you can afford. Alumacraft anticipated that people were going to run a 150 and I'm sure the boat will be fine. Mounting and a propeller will be able to compensate for anything you don't like. The weight difference between the two motors are 105 pounds but you also get 35more hp to take care of the added weight. Dealers tend to push you towards what they already have in inventory or pre-rigged. I'd definitely want the extra hp if I was fishing St. Clair.
